The seeker will loudly narrate the question. After turning the palm leaves based on the number of cowries fallen, the reader starts his narration. After reading some sentences from the leaf the reader will start to narrate what Maharishi has to say on the posed question. The meaning is narrated in the required language. A maximum of five questions or points are replied in one session.
Generally in this format of conversation Mata Anusuya will intervene to seek more information and she will ask questions to Atri Maharishi on behalf of the seeker. The Maharishi will answer these questions. One is allowed to asking a maximum of five questions. In some instances Maharishi will prescribe some pujas or rituals in case there is a problem which needs resolution.
Sometimes, while in the session the atmosphere gets charged with emotions. Sometimes laughter occupies the light mood, a smile appears upon receiving best compliments from Maharishi. Scolding can also be sensed when mistakes have been committed by the recipient. On some occasions Maharishi himself, with his spouse gets choked up with emotions. They plead for grace of the Almighty to help pull the seeker out of the deplorable state of his current situation. The seeker feels overjoyed when Maharishi himself assures that he will start penance on his behalf.
The above is only the outline of what might happen inside the reading room. One has to try and witness it if possible, or at least experience it to get divine blessings and the guidance of such spiritually enlightened souls.

Remotely, such as via skype, the method is slightly different as there is another way of arriving at the exact leaf for those who are not physically present and wish to seek the blessings of the Maharishi. The reader will ask you to imagine one number form 1 to 108. You will be asked to mention this number to the reader and then he will ask you to tell him the question you want answered.In fact, on one occasion in reply to a specific query, Atri Maharishi had actually suggested this method himself to get his advice from far off places.
